Lifetime royalty on your book
A royalty on every copy of the book you colored your 4 pages for, for the life of that book: 5% of what Decoder Rebellion earns on each copy. It covers your book only, not the whole series.
Sponsor deals from $500+
Once the Series One pilot has three months of view data, brands sponsor each Series Two book. 70% of the sponsor money is shared by the artists who color with that sponsor's product, so each artist makes from $500+, paid up front when your videos are delivered.

The book's sponsor sends you a full set of their product to keep. Color with it on camera and feature it in your creative space.
Everything you sell
Your hand-colored originals, live auctions, live colorings, collector boxes, prints and classes are all yours. We never take a cut of your own sales.
Affiliate commissions
When a sponsor offers affiliate links or codes, you get your own. Commissions from your page and your links are yours.

Every page you color gets a QR code in the book. Readers scan it and land on your artist page, with your video for that exact page playing first.

After Round 2, you color 4 bonus originals for Casper Trenton's personal collection. In return, Casper signs your first Color With Me page, and you unlock the ability to sell Decoder Rebellion merch. To keep your originals safe, we'll exchange them in person at our annual meetup, so nothing gets lost in the mail.

Questions artists often ask
Is this paid?
Yes. You earn a lifetime royalty on the book you colored. In Series Two, you also get your share of the sponsor money, paid up front on delivery, plus a free product set. Everything you sell on your own is 100% yours.
What does the pilot round pay?
Round 1 pays your lifetime royalty on that book. There's no sponsor money in the pilot. That starts in Round 2, once the pilot's three months of views have proven the audience to sponsors.
How much is the royalty?
5% of what Decoder Rebellion earns on each copy of the book you colored, for the life of that book. It's written into your agreement before you start, and it covers that book only, not the series or the franchise.
Who owns the videos?
Decoder Rebellion. The videos publish on our channel with our logo, and your agreement licenses you to post them on your own channels too. We encourage it: every view brings traffic to your page and your offers.
Can I take a video down later?
We kindly ask that your videos stay up for good. Families will be scanning into them from printed books for years, and our sponsors support the books for the life of the videos. It's part of your agreement, so you'll know before you start.
Do I need my own website?
Yes, a simple one. Each artist sets up their own domain for their artist page, and we'll share our Decoder Rebellion template so it's easy and matches the books. Our QR links will guide readers to it.
Do I color with the sponsor's product?
In your Series Two videos, yes. The sponsor sends you a free, complete set to keep, and you color with it for real. For your Series One pilot videos, use your own favorite tools, with the labels turned away.
Can I sell my originals?
Yes, and keep every dollar. Sell them yourself, auction them live or put them in collector boxes. We take nothing from your own sales.
The books are for kids. Will my video be "Made for Kids"?
You make your normal coloring video for your normal audience. Keep it family-friendly, since young readers may scan the codes, and choose your audience setting on your own channel as YouTube requires.
When is my spot confirmed?
As soon as we agree on your book, pages and dates, we'll confirm it in writing. There's no need to film anything before then. And you'll never pay for anything, including shipping.
